Step-by-Step Replacement

Step 1 — Power off and remove the battery.

Step 2 — Remove the propeller. Unscrew the propeller from the motor before accessing the cap.

Step 3 — Remove the damaged cap. The motor cap clips or screws onto the motor bell. Use a plastic pry tool to carefully lift the old cap off. If it is screwed on, use the appropriate screwdriver.

Step 4 — Clean the motor bell. Use compressed air to blow out any debris from the motor bell before installing the new cap.

Step 5 — Install the new cap. Press or screw the new protective cap onto the motor bell. Ensure it is fully seated and secure.
