Matrice 30 and 30T Complete Repair Guide: Common Issues and Parts

The DJI Matrice 30 series is a compact enterprise drone designed for inspection, public safety, and industrial operations. The M30 carries a triple-sensor payload (wide, zoom, laser), while the M30T adds a thermal camera. This guide covers the most common repair scenarios for both models.

Gimbal Signal Cable Issues

Symptom: Black screen / video dropout / no feed from one camera

The gimbal signal cable is the most commonly damaged component in the Matrice 30 series. It carries video and control data between the gimbal payload and the aircraft. A bent or crimped cable causes intermittent or total loss of video.

Propeller Issues

Symptom: Unusual vibration / drone struggles to maintain altitude / propeller damaged after crash

Always replace propellers in matched pairs. The Matrice 30 series uses quick-release folding propellers.

Cooling Fan Issues

Symptom: Overheating warning during extended operations / unusual fan noise

The Matrice 30 series uses internal cooling fans for thermal management. Replace if the fan is noisy or not spinning at full speed.

Vision Sensor Issues

Symptom: Obstacle avoidance error / specific direction sensor unavailable
