Air 3 Complete Repair Guide: Common Issues and Parts

The Air 3 features a dual-camera system (wide + medium telephoto) on a 3-axis stabilized gimbal, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and a folding design. This guide covers the most common repair scenarios and the correct replacement parts.

Gimbal Roll Motor Issues

Symptom: Footage consistently tilted / horizon not level after calibration / roll axis overload error

The roll motor is the most commonly replaced gimbal motor on the Air 3. It controls horizon leveling and is vulnerable to crash damage.

Camera Lens Frame Issues

Symptom: Cracked lens frame / camera housing damaged after crash

The lens frame with glass protects the camera optics. Replace if cracked or if the glass is shattered.

Arm Axis Hinge Issues

Symptom: Arm loose, cracked, or not clicking into flight position

The Air 3 has position-specific arm hinges. Identify which arm is damaged (front left, front right, or rear) before ordering.

Vision Sensor Issues

Symptom: Obstacle avoidance unavailable / specific direction sensor error
